The Royal Commission of Al-Mukarrama City of Mecca and Holy Places announced the completion of the second phase of the Third Ring Road, 22 km long, connected to the Al-Madina Al-Munawara road and including 4 bridges. in addition to the presence of an access road on both sides, which helps to relieve traffic congestion within the capital.

Saleh bin Ibrahim Al Rashid, Director General of the Royal Commission on the Holy City of Mecca and Holy Sites, said that the commission established in the city of Mecca Al Mukarrama, in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance and the Secretariat of the Holy Capital, the First Ring Road, which serves the districts, adjacent to the Grand Mosque, and connected to vital routes such as Jabal Omar, and the destination of Masar, and soon the King Abdulaziz Endowment Project, in addition to the second ring road, which contributes to the improvement of road services on all roads.

The authorities also announced a significant increase in the use of buses in Mecca, with more than 320,000 people daily using the buses that serve the holy city of Mecca.
