Within the framework of the project “Education, renewable energy, medical oxygen, social economy and solidarity economy… A multisectoral approach to improving public health in the province of Chefchaouen”, funded by the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation for Development (AECID) and implemented by the Association of Local Development – Morocco (ADL-Al Maghrib) And the Spanish cooperative “Azimuth 360” last Friday at the Al-Khuta polyclinic in the city of Chefchaouen presented the results achieved at the level of medical centers belonging to the territorial communes of Bani Salman, Bani Razin, Bab Bard, Bani Ahmed Sharkia and Bab Taza, in the presence of Abdel Aziz El-Habati, Vice President of the Local Development Association, Azimut 360 representative, Elena Porteros, and a representative of the Ministry of Health in Chefchaouen.

The project aims to improve the quality of medical services, emergencies and prevention in five health centers in the Chefchaouen region, associated with the regional delegate for health and social protection, which has become relevant in the context of the “corona virus”.

The action plan targets the aforementioned centers by providing support, mainly in terms of equipment, a solar energy system and medical oxygen, in addition to training medical staff and workers in the maintenance department of the Health Delegation in Chefchaouen and some technical structures associated with groups, as well as education of the local population through preventive campaigns in the areas of preventive measures The spread of coronavirus infection, maternal and child health, the right to health.

The intervention logic was structured with a high quality electricity supply based on renewable energy services, energy efficiency improvements and 24/7 access to locally produced medical oxygen using well maintained equipment.
