Yasser Al Rumayan, owner of Newcastle United, issued a statement on the anniversary of the Newcastle acquisition.
In a statement, Al Rumayyan confirmed that he was proud of the Newcastle fans and their great support for the team over the past period.
He stated his desire to challenge for individual and collective titles and take Newcastle to the top of the podium.
He explained that from day one he had adhered to certain principles and values at Newcastle and everyone followed them and implemented them in their own way.
He continued, “We still have a long way to go and every year we learn and benefit.”
He emphasized that they are developing a long-term strategy that requires maximum patience, which is reflected in the player buying strategy.
He continued: “The transfer of the women’s team into direct ownership of the club is part of our plan.”
