At the Driush district level, the Socialist Union of Popular Forces came up with a surprise and won a seat in parliament through their candidate Younes Ashen, while Mustafa Al-Khaliwi of the Authenticity and Modernity Party managed to regain his seat in parliament, while the Independence Party missed the opportunity to regain own abolished place in this district.
These results show that the Party of Authenticity and Modernity was able to maintain its number of seats in the House of Representatives (87 seats) after it regained the two seats that had been abolished in Gersif and Driouch and replaced the Ain Chak constituency seat in Casablanca. , in which he did not present an integrated candidate in the city of Safi.
As for the Istiklal party (78 seats) participating in the government coalition, in this polling station it lost its seats in Gersif and Driush, which it received on September 8, 2021.
Notably, the opposition Socialist Union Party, which has 35 seats, confirmed its presence in the partial elections, having won a seat in Al-Hoseima a few weeks ago, it returned to win two new seats in this area.
As for the People’s Movement Party, which has 26 seats, it was able to make up for the seat it lost in Al Hoceima after the failure of former minister Mohamed Laaraj by restoring Abdelhak Chafiq in Ain Chak. area in Casablanca.
