Al-Wajiz in the Language of Information was published by its author, Dr. Osman Abu Zaid Osman. It is a linguistic and stylistic book that helps media professionals, scholars and practitioners to write in spoken language and helps them avoid morphological, grammatical and syntactical errors and shortcomings. The book was published by the Muslim World League in Makkah Al-Mukarrama under the title “Al-Wajiz in the Language of the Press” and it was also published in the Journal of the Arabic Language Academy in Khartoum and was limited to spelling errors.
In the introduction to the book, the author explains that “Al-Wajeez’s goal is twofold: to provide a simple guide for media professionals and journalists that serves as a style guide that achieves consistency and consistency of style.
The book includes the most common linguistic and stylistic errors and pitfalls in journalism as the author made statistics in systematic doctoral research, in addition to what he gathered during his media practice as a journalist and media professor.
It is noteworthy that the author of the book is a university professor, media expert and editor-in-chief of the League magazine, which is published by the General Secretariat of the Muslim World League in Mecca Al-Mukarrama. He previously served as Chairman of the National Press and Publication Council in Sudan and has numerous published books and peer-reviewed research.
It should also be noted that this important guide will be available to journalists and anyone interested in the Arabic language during the 28th session of the International Book and Publishing Fair from 1 to 11 June 2023 in Rabat.
