The National Security Directorate said the suspects were arrested in simultaneous operations in the cities of El Aaiun, Casablanca and Agadir after intelligence tests showed them involved in hacking into bank accounts of customers at banking institutions and making fraudulent financial transfers directed at dozens of victims. before this stage of the study.
According to the same source, the criminal method used by the suspects is determined by the use of an email phishing information server that sends fraudulent messages to customers of banking institutions and asks them to send their account information to a fake website similar to the official website of a banking institution, and then they collect this data and use them to withdraw fraudulent amounts of money.
As a result of the searches conducted in the framework of this case, a group of information equipment, mobile phones and electronic devices were seized, which are currently undergoing the necessary digital examination at the National Security Digital and Technological Impact Analysis Laboratory.
