Approximately 2,900 citizens benefited from the health campaign in Rekada commune, Tiznit province, in which 24 medical specialists, along with support staff, nurses, technicians and administrators, provided free medical services.
This happened within the framework of an initiative led by the Moroccan Medical Solidarity Association in partnership with the Regional Committee of the National Initiative for Human Development in the Tiznit region, the regional council, the regional office of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection in the Souss-Massa region, the regional delegation of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population, the Regional Council of the Souss-Massa district and the elected councils of the region.
This humanitarian initiative, according to the report of the organizers, aims to bring treatment closer to patients from needy families of Awlad Jarrar residents, as well as to facilitate the access of citizens, both men and women, to public and specialized medical services.
In the same context, Youssef El-Salihi, an ophthalmologist, the general coordinator of the campaign and a member of the office of the Moroccan Medical Association, said that this medical solidarity column “witnessed an intense turnout and a unique organization, which is due to the great work followed by the local authorities.”
Al-Sali added in a statement to Hespress that “the campaign was able to achieve its intended goals with the participation of volunteer medical personnel from various Moroccan cities and in several specialties, in general medicine, digestive system, cardiovascular diseases. , glands and diabetes, as well as the nose, ear and throat; As well as pediatrics, gynecology, ophthalmology and others.
