Minister Christopher expressed his desire to create Saudi investment projects in the fields of energy and health, noting the opportunities that his country provides to Saudi investors, especially in tourism, which attracts 400,000 tourists annually, and in the agricultural sector, including the import of fertilizers and agricultural equipment from the Kingdom, in addition to the establishment of banks and institutions. Saudi financing in Belize and the opening of hotels and tourist resorts.
For his part, the head of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, Hassan Al-Khuwaizi, said that the approval of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom and Belize in 2022 is a big positive development in relations between the two countries, adding that there is no Saudi investment in Belize and that the volume of trade exchange has not exceeded 4.4 million rials in the past six years.
During the meeting, both sides agreed to explore investment opportunities and encourage Saudi investors to take advantage of them, as well as to form a Saudi business delegation to visit Belize to get acquainted with the opportunities available.
