The Disciplinary Committee of the Confederation of African Football announced its official decisions regarding the events that took place in the “case”, the first of which was the impossibility of the Moroccan national team’s trip to Algeria, and the second – the speech of Nelson Mandela’s grandson at the opening ceremony.

The CAF report regarding the events mentioned stated: “With regard to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, after discussing and examining the evidence, including a number of correspondence between Algeria, Morocco and CAF, the disciplinary committee concluded that the Moroccan League could not leave, but participation in the “case” is connected with circumstances completely beyond her control, and therefore there is no penalty.”

The report added that, in light of the aforementioned result, the Disciplinary Board rejected the Algerian Football Federation’s request for compensation for Morocco’s absence from the competition.

He indicated that KAF had referred the case of Mandela’s grandson to the Disciplinary Board for further investigation.

The Disciplinary Board ruled that it should not hold the Algerian Football Federation liable and that strict liability provisions could not and should not be applied to the statement made by Mandela during the opening ceremony of the Shan.

Following the completion of the communication, the Disciplinary Board issued a formal reminder to all National Federations, including the Algerian Federation, that vicarious and strict liability provisions may apply in the future as a result of any political or other statements. in an official “CAF” competition or event that may be hosted by a third party.
