The management of the Spanish football team Barcelona needed an offer of 25 to 30 million euros to turn down Moroccan footballer Abdel Samad Al-Zalzouli, who was loaned to Osasuna until the end of the season.
And the Catalan newspaper Sport stated that the Barcelona team would not accept an offer of less than 25 million euros for the demobilization of Al-Zelzouli.
And the same newspaper stressed that from a sporting point of view, there is no doubt that Al-Zalzouli is part of the team of Javi Hernandez, Barça’s coach next season.
The same source indicated that it was better to keep Al-Zalzouli alive than to abandon him. Because Barça may have to appoint another winger for at least €30m and a big salary, the source added.
And Sport continued by saying: “At the Catalan club, they depend on (fair financial play). Given the delicate financial situation, the Barça administration may be forced to sell the gem of Beni Mellal in order to face reinforcements in other, higher priority locations.
The Catalan newspaper concluded by saying that the clubs that could respond to the proposed amount for Al-Zalzouli were English teams, noting that England’s Nottingham Forest were the latest club to have expressed interest in including the Moroccan player.
