French coach Herve Renard, the head coach of the Saudi Arabia national team, expressed his regret at being excluded from the World Cup.
The Saudi Arabia national team was defeated by Mexico with a score of 2: 1 in a match that took place at the Lusail Stadium as part of the third round of the World Cup matches.
Herve Renard said in television commentary after the match: “Today I am unhappy. The mood changes because of football results, but this is football.”
He added: “We played a game that wasn’t perfect and Mexico played better and scored two goals and took advantage of the mistakes and they could have won by a big margin.”
And he continued: “The Saudis didn’t get into the atmosphere of the match and we missed a lot of opportunities and they missed a lot of opportunities too.”
And the Saudi Arabia coach concluded, “We should have scored early to win the game.”
