Italian Inter defeated Barcelona 1-0 in a meeting between the two teams on Tuesday evening as part of the third round of the Champions League group stage matches at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium.

The win lifted Inter to 6 points in third place in the group, trailing leaders Bayern Munich with 9 points, while Barcelona dropped to third place with 3 points.

The Turkish Hakan in the 6th minute struck a powerful unexpected blow from outside the penalty area, which Ter Stegen repelled and brought to the corner.

In the 13th minute, Robert Lewandowski answered with a header, which was easily saved by Inter goalkeeper Onana.

At the 28th minute, the referee canceled a goal in favor of the Nerazzurri, scored by Joaquín Correa due to an offside position.

Second half

Barça dominated throughout the game but failed to break through Inter’s defence.

In the 60th minute, Dembele tried to shoot into the penalty area, but Onana’s left post blocked him.

The referee canceled the equalizing goal in favor of Inter in the 66th minute via Pedri, citing a “mouse” move that proved Ansu Fati’s handball.

Busquets attempted a header in the 87th minute from Dembele’s free kick, but the ball went into Onan’s goal.
