A New York grand jury has voted to indict former US President Donald Trump over payments to silence a porn star ahead of the 2016 election, US media reported on Thursday.
The indictment, sealed by the Manhattan Attorney General’s Office, is likely to be announced in the coming days, the New York Times reported, citing four people familiar with the matter.
The 76-year-old Republican could become the first former or current president to be charged with a felony ahead of the presidential election that Trump intends to run in 2024.
