The committee responsible for monitoring food prices and quality at the prefecture level of Agadir-Idautan continued to work on the ground on Sunday as part of food price and quality control operations in various markets and distribution structures.

In this context, the committee conducted a field trip to the Sunday Market level, during which they were informed about the state of the food supply and basic products.

This process is aimed at controlling prices and product quality, as well as protecting the consumer from all sorts of fraudulent activities related to prices and manipulation of the market offer.

Khaled Hassuna, head of the Department of Economic Affairs and Coordination in Agadir Idautan Prefecture, said the process was within the scope of the price monitoring committee, adding in a press statement that the process was mainly aimed at ensuring the regular supply of the most consumable materials. and combat forms of speculation in goods and supplies, and ensure transparency in transactions, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.

The mixed regional committee includes representatives of security and local government, the Department of Economics and Employment Coordination, the Department of Veterinary Medicine, the National Food Sanitation Administration, the Department of Plant Inspection and Protection, the Administrative Police, and monitoring agents.

It should be noted that the Joint Regional Committee conducts these visits and market inspections on the basis of the Price Freedom and Competition Law No. 104-12, the Consumer Protection Law on Price Advertising and Billing No. 31-08, and the Law on Combating Polyethylene packages No. 77-15.
