Today, Wednesday, the Court of First Instance in Khouribga handed down a prison sentence for a bus driver and assistant bus driver that rolled over between the towns of Khouribga and Fakih Bensalah last August, killing several passengers.
The court sentenced the bus driver to four years in prison and a fine of 22,000 dirhams, and his assistant to four months in prison and a fine of 700 dirhams.
It is noteworthy that this traffic accident occurred on August 17 last year, when the driver lost control of the bus on one of the slopes between the cities of Khouribga and Fakih Ben Saleh, rolled over to the side of the road, leaving 29 passengers. dead and several more wounded and with fractures of varying severity.
At the time, the prosecutor’s office ordered that the bus driver be placed under medical supervision, to be heard in an official report, and then he and his assistant were placed under theoretical protection to monitor them in accordance with the charges against them. .
