The aviation sector today launched NERA, a business unit of Saudi Air Navigation Services.
This happened during the launch ceremony of the company as part of a Steering Committee meeting to revitalize the strategy of the civil aviation sector, chaired by the President of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation, Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Duailedj, and in the presence of the leaders of airlines, airports and companies operating in the aviation sector in the Kingdom.
The opening ceremony of the company included a visual presentation of its ambitious goals and services, which extend to the implementation and management of projects in the field of civil aviation and air navigation, so that the Kingdom will become a pioneer in providing innovative solutions at the hands of the competence of the nation.
After that, the CEO of Saudi Air Navigation Services, engineer Abdulaziz bin Salem Al Zayed, got acquainted with the goals of Nira and its strategic services, as it is one of the main initiatives and business line of the Saudi Air Navigation Services Company.
He explained that Nira is an important addition to the aviation sector, which aims to meet the needs of the aviation sector at the local and international levels and support it with innovative solutions.
And Nira’s CEO position will be taken by engineer Khaled Attia, who has held several senior positions, most recently as CTO of Saudi Air Navigation Services, and has extensive experience in the civil aviation industry. .
For his part, His Excellency the Chairman of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation noted the qualitative shift achieved by the air transport industry in the Kingdom in accordance with the vision of the Kingdom of 2030 AD. and in line with the national strategy of the civil aviation sector, commending Nira’s joining this important industry coming from Saudi Air Navigation Services, emphasizing that the Al Jawiya transport industry enjoys continued attention and great support from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Crown Highness the Prince, God bless them both.
