Today, Thursday, the work of the summit of the Contact Group of the Non-Aligned Movement, organized by Azerbaijan with the participation of Morocco, started at the Conference Center in Baku.
The Moroccan delegation attending this summit, led by Ambassador Omar Hilale, Permanent Representative of Morocco to the United Nations, includes, inter alia, Mohamed Adel Imbaresh, Ambassador of the Kingdom to Baku, and Radwan El Husseini, Director of the United Nations and the International Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Living Abroad, and Abdel Karim Meziane Belfkih, Secretary General of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.

This meeting of members of the Non-Aligned Movement is an important international meeting with strong political representation to find practical solutions for a comprehensive recovery in the post-coronavirus phase, which has witnessed profound economic transformation.
This forum promotes the initiative to create a high-level seminar at the United Nations on the integrated and sustainable recovery of countries in the post-Covid-19 phase, as well as the development of effective recommendations to overcome this phase.
Azerbaijan is chairing the Non-Aligned Movement for 2023 after being called upon by member states to take on the task for another year after the expiration of its mandate for the period 2019-2022.
The Non-Aligned Movement, which consists of 120 countries, is the second largest association of nations after the United Nations. This body seeks to perpetuate adherence to the principles of the Non-Aligned Movement, which was founded at the Bandung Conference in 1955 and the Kingdom of Morocco was one of its founders.
