WhatsApp instant messaging app has announced its intention to launch a new feature that will allow users to broadcast newsletters in communities. According to the WABetaInfo tech website, a new feature called “Newsletters” is a tool for relaying news from an individual to a large group of individuals, making it easier to send relevant updates to newsgroups of all kinds.
The site added that these updates and newsletters will not be protected by end-to-end encryption technology, but subscribers’ phone numbers will be hidden.
