Official data showed today, Friday, that the Kingdom is still the largest oil exporter to China in the past 2022.

Official figures released by the General Administration of Customs show that the Kingdom exported 87.5 million tons of oil to China last year, equivalent to 1.75 million barrels per day, equivalent to 2021 levels.

Saudi Arabia is expected to remain a major exporter of crude oil to China after President Xi Jinping visited Riyadh in December, when he told Gulf leaders that Beijing would buy oil in yuan rather than dollars.

China’s imports of Russian crude oil amounted to 86.25 million tons, equivalent to 1.72 million barrels per day.
