Three sources at OPEC+ told Reuters today that the bloc has canceled a meeting of the Joint Technical Committee scheduled for October 4 ahead of an important meeting of the group’s ministers to set production policy.
The Joint Technical Committee advises the OPEC+ Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee and the OPEC+ General Meetings of Ministers on fundamental market principles.
One of the sources said that the decision to cancel the meeting of the Technical Committee was made by the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee, without giving details.
