Projects that improve the health supply in Errachidia

Khaled Ait Taleb, Minister of Health and Welfare, accompanied by Buschaab Yadhi, Wali of the Draa-Tafilalet region, led on Friday the launch of the services of the Moulay Ali Sherif Regional Hospital in Errachidia (after its expansion and preparation), the services of the Ibni Moussa first-level rural polyclinic and services rural polyclinic of the first level khink.

The opening of the aforementioned medical facilities is due to the improvement of medical services in the Draa-Tafilalet region, which is experiencing a steady demographic growth; This makes strengthening and rebuilding the health system a priority.

The new Moulay Ali Sharif Regional Hospital has a capacity of about two million people. It was built on a covered area of ​​13,864 square meters. It was equipped with modern and high-quality medical equipment and supplies. It also has clinical facilities. for 262 beds. Of these, 69 beds were allocated to the medical unit, 60 beds to the surgical department, 76 beds to the department of mother and child, an additional 25 beds were allocated to the department of diseases of the chest, 11 beds to the rehabilitation department, as well as the allocation of eight beds to the post-anaesthesiology department, in addition to the X-ray department. departments in four rooms. For radiology, two scanning rooms, a technical block for childbirth with a capacity of eight rooms, a surgical complex with a capacity of six rooms and 13 intensive care units.

The process of expanding and equipping this new district hospital is in the first phase with a financial cost of AED 225 million; The second part will include the preparation of Al-Nahar Medical Hospital with 15 beds, Al-Nahar Surgical Hospital with 15 beds, in addition to a pharmacy, external examination rooms and functional examination rooms, a sterilization department, an admissions and reception department. hall, administrative premises, kitchen, laundry and other premises.

The estimated covered area of ​​the Ebni Musa Rural First Level Health Center is 200 square meters at a total cost of AED 1,550,000. Equipped with modern and high quality biomedical and logistics equipment, this rural health center is designed for a population of about 8,700 people.

Al-Khank First Level Rural Medical Center was built on an area of ​​200 square meters at a total cost of AED 950,000. This rural health center is expected to provide various health services to the population of the area, which is estimated at more than 7,200 people.

The events, which were overseen by the Minister of Health and Social Protection Khaled Ait Taleb, were attended by Buschaab Yehdih, Wali of the Draa-Tafilalet region, Khaled Al-Salmi, Regional Director of the Ministry in charge of the health sector, representatives of administrative bodies, a number of elected officials and representatives civil society organizations.
