Putin plans to visit the Ukrainian region of Donbass

The Kremlin confirmed on Saturday that Russian President Vladimir Putin would visit Donbas “at the appropriate time,” noting that he had not yet visited the region in eastern Ukraine, which he announced annexation in late September.

In response to a question about the possibility of Putin’s visit to the Donbass in the future, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said: “It will take place (this visit) at the right time. This is a region of Russia.”
