France coach Herve Renard sent a farewell message to the fans after his official departure.
Renard said: “I reached an excellent level with the Saudi Arabian national team and I saw that I had no opportunity to offer more.”
He continued, “Thank you for your support during the time I was coaching the Saudi Greens.”
He continued, “The decision to resign was not easy, and I thank everyone for understanding my decision.”
And he continued: “Our match against Argentina will remain immortal in the memory of the Saudi fans … and we played well against Poland, but did not succeed … so it’s a wonderful experience with great support.”
He added: “I had a great time here and will be rooting for the Saudi Greens at the 2024 Asian Cup.”
