The Kingdom and Croatia have agreed in principle to establish a joint Saudi-Croatian business council under the auspices of the Federation of Saudi Chambers. This is due to the opening of new areas of economic cooperation and the promotion of constant interaction between the business circles of the two countries.
This happened during today’s meeting with former President of the Republic of Croatia Kolinda Grabar and an accompanying delegation of business owners from Saudi Arabia at the Federation of Saudi Chambers headquarters in Riyadh.
The former President of Croatia expressed his country’s desire to sign an economic cooperation agreement with the Kingdom. Expand the areas of trade and investment cooperation, noting the prospects for partnership between the two countries and the opportunities available in the sectors of renewable energy, transport, infrastructure, tourism and real estate, and called on Saudi and Croatian companies to cooperate more closely in a way that contributes to the improvement of the level of economic relations between the two countries.
For his part, the head of the Federation of Saudi Houses, Hassan bin Mujib Al-Khuwaizi, said that Croatian companies have great investment opportunities in the Kingdom in the sectors targeted by Vision 2030, especially in renewable energy, tourism and real estate, pointing out that the volume The trade turnover between the two countries grew by 198% and reached 533 million rials in 2021. He urged to find new cooperation mechanisms that would stimulate investment opportunities between the two countries.
