Security checkpoint that controls anesthesia pills

On Sunday, Marrakesh state police officers arrested a 42-year-old man with multiple convictions. This is on suspicion of his involvement in a case involving the storage and promotion of a batch of narcotic pills.

The detention of the suspect took place at the level of the checkpoint at the entrance to the city of Marrakech, immediately after his arrival on a car bus for passengers coming from the north of the Kingdom.

As a result of the search of the detainee, 2,630 narcotic medical tablets were seized, consisting mainly of Rivotril and Ecstasy tablets.

The suspect is under theoretical protection at the disposal of the investigation, which is carried out under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office; This should identify other possible continuations of this criminal activity, as well as arrest all potential participants and accomplices in these criminal acts.
