Participants in a symposium titled “Integrated Water Resources Management in Oases” on Friday evening, on the sidelines of the opening of the Draa-Tafilalet regional water exhibition in its first edition, organized by two Cairo water basin agencies. Ziz Gris and Draa-Oued Noone from Tingir agreed that the issue of water is of great importance, especially in light of the problems facing the Kingdom in this context due to successive years of drought.

This symposium was attended by the representative of the Cairo Water Basin Agency, Ziz Gris, on the topic “Contract for the joint management of the Misk-Botneb axis waterway”, the representative of the Draa-Oued Noon Water Basin Agency on the topic “The contract for the shared management of the waterway for Faya”, and the representative Regional Department of Agriculture on the topic “Saving agricultural irrigation water in oases”, and a representative of the Regional Department of Water Management on “measures taken to ensure the supply of drinking water in the Draa-Tafilalet region”.

The participants of the symposium recalled the procedures and measures taken by the state institutions they represent to preserve reservoirs and provide the population with drinking water throughout the year, especially in summer, when the need for this vital substance increases. increases.

As part of the accompanying program of the regional water exhibition in the Draa-Tafilalet area, two workshops will be organized, tomorrow, Saturday, the first in the morning on the topic “The role of civil society in the integrated management of water resources in oases”, “Water resources management in oases”, and it will divided into four axes.

Water researchers and professionals will take part in workshops and seminars organized in parallel with this regional water exhibition and will review the strategic actions of the water related sectors.
