Today, Thursday morning, in the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, the draw for the Asian Championship among boys under 17 took place.
Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, will host the tournament, which will be held from June 15 to July 2 with the participation of 16 teams.
The teams were divided into 4 groups, where during the tournament the first four teams will qualify for the FIFA U-17 World Cup, which will be held in Peru in 2023, namely in November.
The first group included teams from Thailand, Malaysia, Laos and Yemen, while the draw combined teams from South Korea with Iran, Afghanistan and Qatar in an exciting second group, where Iran and Qatar once won the title in the past.
As for the third group, these are the teams of Tajikistan, “runners up in 2018”, Australia, Saudi Arabia and China.
Finally, Group D includes Japan, champion and 3-time 2018 winner, India, Vietnam and Uzbekistan.
