On Monday, Twitter experienced a new malfunction that affected the company’s services in the United States and around the world, the latest in a series of technical glitches the site has experienced recently. While the company was able to fix the defect within two hours, American newspapers published a report that one engineer, The Last Tech, was behind the malfunction, and that the owner of the site, American billionaire Elon Musk, was “very angry.” And Twitter announced that a technical glitch had affected some of its services, before announcing later that everything was now back to normal.

“Some parts of Twitter are currently not working as expected. We’ve made an internal change that had some unintended consequences. We’re working on it now and will share an update when it’s fixed,” the support account wrote. Users of the company at the time were having trouble logging into their account or using links on the platform to access other websites, and users saw a “cryptic error message” saying they were unable to complete orders.
