France coach Didier Deschamps has confirmed that his team achieved a well-deserved victory at the expense of Morocco with two clean sheets in the World Cup semi-finals.
The Moroccan national team was defeated by France with two unanswered goals at the Al Bayt Stadium in the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup.
“We have one more match to celebrate,” Deschamps said after the match. “It’s not easy, but we have to be happy and feel joy after today’s match.”
He added, “The players have received their reward for their great efforts. It’s wonderful and exceptional.”
He continued: “We have to make the most of every moment at the World Cup, if only we could stop time and enjoy this event. We will start preparing for the last match and hope that we will be lucky.”
France will face Argentina in the 2022 World Cup final in Qatar.
