The Moroccan Higher Education and Research Syndicate decided to organize a nationwide protest on December 8 in front of the headquarters of the Ministry of Higher Education in Rabat.

In her statement, she criticized what she called the “ambiguity” with which the Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation is planning projects to reform the higher education and scientific research system, especially with regard to the basic system for research professors. the law governing higher education; and the so-called scheme for accelerating the transformation of the system.

She also expressed anger at the “minister’s failure to comply with the outcome of the October 7, 2022 meeting, closing the door to dialogue and adopting an approach that lacks clarity and inclusiveness, documents, documents, drafts, normative texts to be reformed.”

The Moroccan Syndicate of Higher Education Teachers refused to sign an agreement with the ministry, similar to what the National Higher Education Syndicate did.

She explained the reason for this by the fact that the agreement presented to her “is unknown either in identity, or in content, or in leaked axes, portending a real catastrophe that threatens the profession, and poses a threat to the future and interests of scientific research.” professor.”

The union called on its local and regional chapters to mobilize for the success of this nationwide vigil, to lay siege to the implementation of retrograde plans and to resist projects to end the gains.
