A court in New York on Friday sentenced the Trump Organization, owned by the family of former President Donald Trump, to pay a maximum fine of €1.6 million for financial and tax violations, the Manhattan attorney general said in a statement.

A group of American billionaires designated to represent the Republican Party in the 2024 presidential election has been tried on charges of committing financial irregularities and falsifying accounting records, specifically to hide financial rewards received by some of its high-ranking employees from the IRS.
