The Saudi-South African Joint Committee is scheduled to discuss promoting the development of trade exchanges and using the opportunities available between the two countries to create more joint investment projects, in addition to deepening comprehensive areas of cooperation between the two countries. countries in the sectors of energy, industry, mining, agriculture, transport and culture, in addition to the tourism side and other other areas.

The meetings of the Saudi-South African Committee will include the establishment of an accompanying forum in cooperation between the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources and the Ministry of Investment to present investment opportunities under the auspices, which continued in Saudi Arabia, with the participation of delegations. from investors, businessmen and the private sector between the two countries, as well as a number of government agencies. The Republic of South Africa is the gateway for Saudi goods to enter the markets of the African continent.

The Kingdom’s exports to the Republic of South Africa in 2021 amounted to more than 12 billion rials of oil exports and 3 billion rials of non-oil exports, while the value of Saudi Arabia’s non-oil imports from South Africa amounted to 3.14 billion rials, and Saudi Arabia’s exports to South Africa The African Republic was concentrated in a number of sectors. These include petrochemicals, building materials, packaging and textiles, while a number of promising export opportunities are expected to be explored between the two countries.
